A6100 adapter not able to connect to NETGEAR servers

I bought the adapter not too long ago and it was working smoothly. Recently, my WIFI has been experiencing major issues when playing online games and downloading content. I wanted to check to see if there was any updates I needed for the software on NETGEAR Genie, but checking to see if there are any results in either the progress bar capping at 20% or saying I am unable to connect to NETGEAR servers. I don't believe my internet is the issue, but please let me know if there are any factors other than the adapter I can fix.
