A6100.exe takes 100% of CPU cycles
I see that this has been an issue for a number of years, there's no valid reason why it shouldn't have been fixed, and the one time I tried to explain it to a support person, they had no clue what I was talking about. I'm finally getting anoyed enough to try this forum.
The problem occurs (I can reproduce it 100% of the time) when the computer (I'm on Win7 Pro) sits idle for a while, and goes into sleep mode. When it wakes up, A6100.exe takes all the CPU cycles. Eventually, I can get Task Manager and Resource Moitor to kick in and terminate A6100.exe. When that finally happens, the PC comes back to a usable state.
Is this so difficult to understand ? What will it take for Netgear to fix it ?

Given Windows 7 is EOL in Jan 2020, it might be time to upgrade to Windows 10.
If you have a valid Windows 7 license you can do this for free.
