A6100 Wifi USB Adapter CD Not Recognized by PC

I inserted the resource CD that came with the A6100 Wifi USB Adapter into a desktop PC with Windows 10 Home.  The PC does not recognize the CD.  When I clicked on the DVD RW Drive the computer asked me to insert a disk.  But the disk was already inserted.  So I took it out and re-inserted the CD.  But it still asked me to insert the CD.  Any ideas on how to resolve this problem?

    What happens if you plug the USB device into the PC?

     

    Forget about the CD.

     

    Get the latest version from the Netgear support site.

     

    If you visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

    you can feed in your model number and find the documentation for your hardware.

    It will also have any firmware and drivers for your device.
