A6150 slow speeds

Bought the A6150 | AC1200 for my new PC. On my laptop right next my new pc I get around 10mbps. After installing the adaptor and teh driver needed from the netgear website, I am only getting 0.8mbps at a maximum.

Is this likely a faulty hardware issue or is there a fix that I can do to make it work as intended.

    What is the operating system of your new PC? 

    Do you have a dual band router? 

    Do you have the new computer connected to 2.4GHz or 5GHz?
