A6210

I am not getting the desired speeds with this unit.  Is there a way to increase this? Right now my download should 400mps and I am only getting 123mps.

What router are you connecting to?

How far from the router are you?

What materials (what are the walls made off) are in between?

Are you testing on the 2.4ghz or the 5ghz?

Reason I ask is the A6210 is a AC1200 device. Meaning its 5ghz band can connect at a 866mbps link speed and the 2.4ghz at 300mbps link speed. But thats link speed and not throughput. Throughput will be roughly 55-65% of link speed for the 5ghz. Much worse than that over the 2.4ghz. And distance/obstructions will drop that as well.

  • I am connected to the eero Pro 6 mesh network with a satellite in the same room as the adapter.

    The walls are typical sheetrock.

5ghz is on at the moment.

Just because its in the same room as the eero, doesn't mean its connected to it.

Frequently mesh systems have a device connect back to the main router and not the satellite.

Not sure if eero has a way to check what router/satellite a device is connected to or not.

Do you know that the USB adapter and the device it is used on can achieve 400 Mbps in other circumstances?

You have at least three variable in your "chain"; theUSB adapter, its "host" and the router that supplies the wifi.

It is easy to blame the router for shortcomings when it may well be down to something else. Unfortunately, that means you need to troubleshot your setup.
