A7000 cant connect to 5g network

I just got this wifi adapter this new wifi adapter. I have spent nearly 6 hours connected to the 5g network and had a consistent 115 mbps download speed. All the sudden my internet was extremely slow...

Now the adapter is randomly disconnecting and connecting back. It is making the sound when you unplug a usb device. I can also connect to 5g right now but a windows message pops up that has never in the past saying this network is unsecure because it uses an older security standard. It is also strange because I used to get 90-120 Mbps download being on the 5g network and now I am getting a max of like 30.

Are you using this on windows or mac?

      have you tried completely uninstalling the netgear utility and driver and then reinstalling the stand-alone driver version?

        I only have the stand alone driver version because i read the other driver with the app gave people problems.
