Welcome to NETGEAR Community!
You can uninstall the NETGEAR Genie utility for the A7000 and use the built in Windows wireless manager to connect to wireless networks instead.

Actually, I have still been having issues. When I uninstall the Genie, my does not seem to find the Antenna. I've tried searching for it as a device but I'm not having any luck so far.

Just to clarify, the computer is unable to detect the adapter/antenna using the stand alone driver. Is that correct? Please make sure that you have the latest driver (1.0.0.15). Here is the reference link: https://kb.netgear.com/000055980/A7000-Software-Version-1-0-0-15-Windows
