A7000 is crashing my Windows 10 computer
It took some time to figure out why my two month old windows 10 computer started to reboot itself all the time, with a your computer has run into trouble error. This started about four days ago. I completely striped windows 10 back on the computer to a clean install three times. Each time I progressively loaded each programme onto the computer with a fresh file. Finally, I discovered the fault was with loading and using the A7000 Netgear Genie programme. It straight up crashed my computer each time it was connected. It was working ok initily but I am not sure why it has now turned so evil. May be a windows 10 update caused the problem. But given I paid a fair amount of money for the A7000 Netgear I would like to be able for it to work as it was intended. So what is the solution here?

You refer to the genie. This could be one of several things, the browser interface, a Windows or Mac program for a PC, or a mobile Android/iThing app. Netgear labels them all as genies. Which are you using?
If it is the thing designed or the USB device, ditch it and see if you can achieve what you want with the driver only installation.
You don't say which version of the software you are using. This is the latest:
A7000 Software Version 1.0.0.15 (Windows) | Answer | NETGEAR Support
There are more where that came from.
Visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
That page will also have any software, firmware and drivers for your device, if they exist.- IanAtkinsonAspirant
Yes that is the software I have down loaded each time I run on my computer after each time I stripped it to a clean Windows 10. As soon as I run it with either stand alone or the other and connet the A7000 windows shuts down and tried to repair a problem. But it can't so it continues to shut down or not boot at times.

Is this for the USB dongle? Try updating all the drivers, remove the setting that turns off the device for power saving AND purchase a powered USB 3.0 hub and go through it that way.
