Connection issues with FioS G3100
Pulling my hair out trying to figure out what is causing the issue here. We recently upgraded to the FiOS G3100 Gateway router and I've been able to connect my A7000 directly to the router. No...

You guys aren't alone. This is an ongoing issue with me as well. I was experiencing (at first, literally after installing my new Fios G3100 router yesterday) an issue where my wifi adapter would connect to the router, but no internet was accessed; after diagnostic tests, I was being told that the gateway was unreachable. So, like clockwork, I CMD prompted my system when I got access to the router, and found my IP4 address was correct, but my pings were encountering errors. Finally, I said to heck with it and connected a spare (but theoretically slower) wifi adapter straight to my motherboard.
This is without a doubt, 110% a compatability issue with Netgear and Verizon (presumably the A7000 series and the G3100 router). I will be scouring my receipts as well as my email and contacting BestBuy about any plausible refunds. It's been 24 straight hours of pure frustration.

Verizon realizing I have my own TIVO system said I don't actually need the verizon FIOS router. I disconnected the verizon router and installed my own (TP-LINK AX3000). And not knowing if the Netgear adapter was the issue I also purchased a new USB wifi adapter and voila! No more connection issues. Netgear finally contacted me to do some deep level troubleshooting and log capturing. Too late. I'm done with Verizon equipment and Netgear.
With my TPLINK router and TPLINK adapter my laptop is regularly seeing download speeds of nearly 300mbs.
