Connection issues with FioS G3100

I have found my original Fios G1100 router works just as good with less problems than the Fios G3100 which I was led to believe is the latest and the greatest. One thing I should have remembered from past computers is your speed of usage is only as good as speed of your equipment, PC or Mac. I have discovered the Fios G3100 at the cost of $300.00 is no better than my Fios G1100 as my computer and television are 2009 dated and does not recognize the fater speeds. Therefore, it was a waste of my money, at this time, to upgrade the router. ALso, I've encountered other issues with the G3100 regarding it goes into sleep mode automatically and takes a while to wake up. Another issue was upon installing, the password caused conflicts when trying to connect to Verizon for the firt time. It took one telrobot two customer service phone calls to resolve the connection error. The pro is I am now upgraded when I have newer equipment. The cons are, I wasted $300.00 and do not receive any better service and my connection to internet is now slower, in my opinion.
