GS605 Unmanaged Switch not working

Question

So, I have an Arris NVG599 router (i know, im sorry) and I was getting a red light from the WiFi router when I plugged the 5 port Desktop Gigabit Ethernet switch into an ethernet plug. I dont know if this happens on other routers too, but I was wondering if it is only compatible with Netgear routers.&nbsp;

There shouldn't be any compatiblity issues.&nbsp;But it could be a cable/port issue.&nbsp;Have you tried different ports on the router/switch and a different cable?
