Is there a reason that channel 1 must be used? When WiFi adapters and access points specify a channel, that is only to indicate which frequency will be used for management frames. When attempting to transmit actual data, a group of channels is used at the same time. The most expedient solution is to change the WiFi system to use a channel other than channel 1.
If the adapter is connected to a Windows computer, it might be interesting to open the network management control panel and look at Properties of the WiFi adapter and see what sort of options are provided. There may be a setting that restricts channel usage.
This is one of the WiFi adapters on my Windows computer. The A8000 may have different properties.

Thanks for your feedback.
The reason for focusing on Channel 1 is that another Wi-Fi 6E adapter (TP-Link AXE5400) can successfully detect and connect to the same 6 GHz SSID when the AP is configured to use Channel 1 (5955 MHz), while the AXE3000 (A8000) cannot.
