I have Ziply Fiber and two sons who are gamers

I currently have Ziply Fiber with a router that I am renting from them.  I have two sons who are gamers and like to play online.  Ziply Fiber is the only internet provider in my area and it isn't great.  Would netgear have an option to boost my wifi or a option to bring in a second wifi line? 

 

I am a single mom who does not understand any of this.  Any and all help and suggestions would be great.

    what speeds do you get from ziply? 

    Adding another router isn't going to increase the incoming speed from ziply. 

    It might get you a better connection to whatever ziply has but there's a lot of variables. 

     

    1. speeds you pay for? 

    2. Speeds you get hardwired into their router? 

    3. how are the gaming devices connected? wired? wireless?   If wireless, over 2.4ghz or the 5ghz?

    4. what ziply router did they give you (model)?

    5. How big is your home? 

    6. What are the internal walls made of? 

    7. How far from the router is the gaming machines?
