It not either. You con't see 600mbps wireless with the C7000.
Link speed is NOT the same as actual throughput speed. Its usually around that 55-65% but you're going to have +/-'s with that.
Add on the fact that the C7000 is a combo device so it won't have the same peak speed as a stand alone router device.
And the fact that the A6100 is a single antenna device meaning you're getting the max link speed that the A6100 has available. It doesn't have 2x2 antenna's for a better link speed.
So its not a "problem" its a misunderstanding of link speed and expected performance of the C7000/A6100.

Would a different wireless adapter be better or would I be better off getting a separate router and modem?
- RashievJan 25, 2021GuideI also know link speed is NOT the same as throughput speed. I’m not some idiot and don’t appreciate being talked to like one. I’m going to school for computer science and networking but I know I should be getting more than 200mbps on my wireless connection with my plan speed. I’m trying to rule out issues. If I’m going to be treated like this then this will be the last time I buy netgear products.

I’m going to school for computer science and networking---and did you put any of that in the initial post or just get offended because I went over the info? but I know I should be getting more than 200mbps on my wireless connection with my plan speed.----Then you should be able to fix this (not that there is a fix since its a hardware limitation) and not on a public support forum where its memberts of the public trying to help out. Where we literally get people at times who don't know how to change their ssid or even know their ssid isn't their model number. Its why we have to explain more than other times.- RashievJan 25, 2021GuideSorry. Just frustrated I didn’t mean to lash out the way I did. I really do apologize. Unfortunately text can be misinterpreted compared to speaking. I’ve just been dealing with this over a week now going back and forth between xfinity blaming my equipment for the speed and having a tech come out. I really do apologize.
