My A6210 Genie takes up so much CPU

I moved to a new house not too long ago and my room was now upstairs instead of being on the same level as my router. So I had to get a wifi adapter and I got the A6210 WiFi Adapter. After installing...

You do not need to run the Netgear genie to use the adapter.

 

I assume that this is  a Window PC, you don't say. All it takes to get an adapter to run is the driver set for Windows. Actually, some USB adapters run on the native drivers in Windows. No need to install anything.

This one comes up from time to time. I have never seen a clear explanation as to why people see that.

 

Then again, you refer to the genie. This could be one of several things, the browser interface, a Windows or Mac program for a PC, or a mobile Android/iThing app. Netgear labels them all as genies. Which are you using?
