However, today and yesterday I’ve had problems connecting to my internet. Websites and applications such as discord work 100% fine, but whenever I try to run a game I can’t connect.
A USB adapter isn't likely to let you get to some websites while blocking you from others.
It is more likely to be something that your changes have caused in your operating system. If it is a Windows PC try running the network troubleshooter.
