NETGEAR A6100 Wirless Adapter Connects to internet but drops connection

As the title suggests. 
I am currently running Windows 10 and have been experincing internet conneciton dropouts using this wireless adapter. It has occured as often as every 4-9 minutes. 

I tried uninstalling and re-installing drivers (with and without GENIE) 

I tred rebooting
I tried updating USB driver
I tried re-installing USB drivers

The power settings for the adapter are turned off

Any assistnace is appriciated as this is greatly frustrating!
