NETGEAR AC1900 Wi-Fi USB 3.0 Adapter terrible speeds

I have been getting terrible speeds with my NetGear A7000. With the NetGear A7000 Genie, it shows I have an average of 200 Mbps but when I download something I can barely get 1 Mbps download speed. When I try to play any games I can't due to extremely high ping. I don't know how to try and fix this because when I try to look for any updates in the software it says I'm not even connected although at the same time it is saying I am getting 200 mbps.

    Try removing the genie.

     

    You may even get by without the Netgear drivers. Some USB adapters happily work with the native drivers in Windows.
