Netgear Genie keeps closing - A7000
I'm trying to use the A7000 on a desktop running Windows 10 with no built-in WiFi support. I got to the point where the adapter is recognized in Device Manager and the Netgear Genie opened and began...
Turns out WLAN AutoConfig was disabled! After enabling it, everything is working perfectly.

You might need to seek ideas in the wider world of Microsoft. Perhaps you need to clean out the past debris from Windows drivers.
You may also need to ensure that the motherboard level of USB drivers is up to date. That's usually more a problem at the LAN level but you never know.
