List of visible access point(s)List of visible networks: neither 2G nor 5G connect and get the same error. - 'can't connect to this network' only netgear network adapter is enabled. earlier Qualcom atheros AR965x wireless network adapter is disabled in device manager. r-click on NETGEAR adapter in device manager, advanced properties tab, Property Wireless Mode is set to 'Auto' (& even other values like ac/a/c/b/g/ etc didn't make any difference either)

michaelkenward thanks for checking. yes it's windows & yes it showed on device manager. not sure if you got a chance to review the troubleshooting log that lists the wifi network & access points. in any case, rebooting the router and re-attmepitng to connect worked a-ok. thanks again for taking the time to review & respond.

Hard to understand that description.

You have an A7000 USB adapter that you want to connect to the wifi from some unnamed wifi source. A router of some sort?

neither 2G nor 5G connect and get the same error. - 'can't connect to this network'

Where do you see this message? Is that the exact detail?

Is it a Windows error? Have you trued troubleshooting that?

    Do other wifi clients play nicely with the local wifi?
    
    It sure sounds like a Windows thing.
    
    Does the adapter work on a different device?
    
    Have you looked at this thing in Device Manager?
