Nighthawk Wifi USB adapter issue with dual booting
I have recently purchased a A7500 nighthawk WIFI adapter to speed up connections between my nighthawk router and my laptop (in the other room). I dual boot with Windows 11 and Linux ubuntu. The adapter works fine with either operating system. The issue I have is when I switch back to Windows 11 from Ubuntu, the adapter doesn't work correctly. Speed test shows it's getting under a 1MB down instead of the usual 200-300MB down. I have to physically pull it from the usb hub and put it back to reset it. Then it works fine. Any ideas or am I just going to have to do this every time? Much thanks!

You say its plugged into a hub. Any chance you can test it directly plugged into the computer?

What's happening is that linux is disabling the usb on shutdown. I fixed this with some help from chatgpt.. Here's something to try..
- Disable Fast Startup in Windows: Fast Startup can cause issues with USB devices when rebooting from another OS.
- Check BIOS/UEFI Settings: Ensure that USB power settings in the BIOS/UEFI are configured to keep USB ports active across reboots.
