Do you need it? Windows might do a better job with its own wifi connection software.
Netgear's maintenance of its "genies" is abysmal. Best avoided.

I updated BIOS and all motherboard drivers. I also removed Genie and network card drivers, and reinstalled them. I am still getting the error in my System Logs. I have 2 USB 3.0 ports and I tried them both.
NETGEAR A7000 WiFi USB3.0 Adapter : Has determined that the network adapter is not functioning properly.
