tv casting

My custom built computer has a PCIe dual band wireless adapter installed. Once my OS was upgraded to Windows 10 version 2004, my computer will no longer cast to my smart tv. I understand that version 2004 no longer has Miracast, and the wireless utility app that they reccomend as an optional replacement, still won't work. There is no driver upgrade for my adapter, so I was wondering if the Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 wifi adapter is compatible with version 2004, and restore my casting capability? My laptop with native wifi, has no problems.
