Unlocked 4G LTE wifi modem/router that accepts a SIM card
I would like to set up a home network with access to the internet via cell phone provider network. My provider said that I would need an unlocked device that accepts a SIM card to be used on a 4G LTE...

Thanks for pointing me in the direction of the LTE modems. I looked at the Netgear LB2120 Modem. If I interpret this correctly, I can connect to it directly through the LAN port or I must purchase some other device to provide WiFi, which is what I need. I have a Netgear ADSL Model 7550 modem/router that I currently use. However, the goal is to eliminate the DSL service and use the wireless to connect to the internet. Is there a mechanism to connect the LB2120 to the Model 7550 and use the router and WiFi capabilities of the 7550 without the DSL service? The 7550 only has 4 LAN ports and a port for the DSL cable. If the 7550 is not compatible, what is the other device that must be purchased? Are there any 4G LTE modem/router/WiFi devices?

Netgear may have made it, but the 7550 is specific to AT&T.

It is anybody's guess as to how it works or which Netgear model it is based on.
The only suggestion I can think of is that you get the manual for one of Netgear's own DSL modems, perhaps one that looks similar, and see if that gives any clues.

If there is a WAN (Internet) port on the back, then there is a chance that it will work in router mode. Some models have a LAN port that doubles as a WAN port. Only a manual will tell.

The page I posted earlier lists everything that Netgear makes. Perhaps one of them will work with a separate router.
Thanks again for the information. I looked and it seems that Netgear is supposed to be coming out with the all-in-one device that I thought might be already available some time this month (Orbi 4G LTE Tri-band WiFi Router (LBR20)). So it looks like I will need two devices: the LB2120 4G LTE modem and a router such as the Netgear R6400. I assume that I can pair these together and connect all of my devices through the router.
