Wi Fi Adapter Bottlenecks my internet

Question

I just switched to a 500 mbps connection and noticed that my download speed and game pings became horrendous borderling unplayable *can't reach even half of the DL speed and from 40-50 ping went double/more than double (League, pubg)

I'm using a nighthawk a7000 ac1900 wifi adapter, it was fine before I switched to a different ISP *from 100 mbps to 500mbps

I'm pretty sure this adapter model can withstand 1gbps internet connection. I tried troubleshooting it, reinstalled drivers(multiple times), switching it to 2.0 USB port then putting it back to 3.0 ports just to check the speed (no change). Disabling windows auto tune. Changing DNS. Your occasional "restart your router" "reset your pc". I compared my PC net speed to my phone, PC speed - 150mbps borderline 180, phone 380-400+ mbps.

Please Help.

What makes you think the adapter is the problem?

Without more details you risk being the victim of a further process of elimination.
