Hello,
Thanks for your time.
The problem is that Wireless PCI Adaptor WG311v3 does not work even with windows 7.
I remember i had the same issue before some years. Exactly the same message.
I have hardware from 2004 and still working with windows 10 properly.
Wireless PCI Adaptor WG311v3 drivers was problematic from the begining.
Anyway, I though that there is a workaround to make this device work.
Thanks again

Unlikely given the age of this PCI card. But you could search the archive for earlier messages.
Search - NETGEAR Communities – WG311v3 windows 10
I am actually surprised that you have a PC that will accept that card. Many no longer have that slot.
A new card costs very little and is more likely to work in Windows 10.
Either that or a USB wifi adapter.

if there is a possibilty of a workaround i would like to test it. If you have something in your mind please share!
I have already searched the archive for earlier messages and the only relevant messages i can find are unsuccesful attemps of users to install the drivers of WG311v3 in any related versions of windows 7.
If the hardware works only in windows xp then it should be clarified to the download page of Netgear and drivers list.

Should it also warn that it may not support Windows 3.1?

Thank you for the ironic answer!
It seems that you are only able to give ironic and unuseless answers.
IF you have no answer please stay silence. Its better for the quality of this community and netgear
