Wnda 3100 v3 crashes makes computer crash when connecting to internet

I just updated to windows 10 from windows 7. I downloaded new software for the adapter for windows 10. When I go to connect to the internet by putting in my pass phrase (to connect to internet) the computer crashes. I have also tried to connect through WPS. It crashes that way also. I tried it before I downloaded a antivirus. It still crashes without even having antivirus . This adapter worked fine with windows 7.

Try removing all Netgear drivers and stuff and seeing if the native wifi device drivers in Windows 10 will work.

I removed the genie and the net dear drives. I restarted the computer and put the net gear adapter in the usb. It recognized it and when I put in the passcode and pressed connect it crashed the computer again.

That sort of thing can happen when you have cruddy drivers for the on-board chips.

Hard to diagnose. Visit whoever made the motherboard and/or PC and update as many new drivers as possible.
