not all routers are created equal. Also 5ghz has less range and can't pass through as much material.

Also, if you log into the extender, it should have a display showing signal strength for each band. I'd use this to help with placement. Potentially the new router might not have as good a 5ghz radio and this caused a drop/poor connection. Thats where I'd start. Try moving the extender a little closer and potentially lateral to the router. Sometimes things within the walls can block signals and moving a few feet on way or the other can make a difference.
You can also try changing the wifi channels. For the 5ghz channels, try the higher bands (149+).
What firmware is on the extender?
What router did the isp install?

Im having similar issue with my EX3700 extender. I have all green indicators, it shows good signal stregth when I connect to it with cable. but when I try to wireless connect with another device It says no internet available. This is same result for 5G or 2G band
