AC1200 Wifi Extender Can't Connect to Xfinity Gateway

I ended up ordering a new Wi-Fi extender, different brand and it was simple to connect and is working great. I can only assume something crapped out with the netgear. I didn’t want to go with the pods in case I ever change network providers. Luckily it worked at half the cost of the pods
Well, I tried this again and when i go to the mywifiext.com, it doesn't give me the setup and immediatley says i am not connected and there is no setup option. I even tried resetting to factor settings (using a paperclip to reset) twice, and it still will not connect. I give up. I will order the xfinity pod and hope that i stay with them for a while.
