Your neighbors devices are connected to your extender but you can't? I'd start by changing the ssid and password.

How do you know their connected?

You know when you're searching for network? I can see my netgear "adapted" with my netgear I.e. my network is VM0005 I should see VM005_ext, but I can't see it, but I can see my neighbor adapted to my netgear I.e. UCP0005_ext

Did you get me? How can I change my password?

Are you sure they don't have the same/similar adapters?

I'd start by factory resetting your adapter. Then you could hardwire into the extender and go through its setup process over the hardwired connections.

From there you should be able to follow the manual to install it.

or you can try the wps method of install. I've had better luck the manually install method though.

here's where to get your install instructions, manuals, firmware.
