Netgear does not look at the wifi passwords it just does a password recovery for your login password which you would have to be directly connected to the extender in order to use that password to login to the device. As for the the printer if it is on a guest network then it would not be able to use all the main routers features.

So I don't care about whether Netgear "looks" at the password or not. My question is does Netgear/its products/its affiliates take my wifi password and store it anywhere other than my local computer or the local device?
Also I was hoping to get clarification on the login connection to the device itself - it seems this is not a secure http connection?

No netgear does not store your password anywhere online its just on your local devices.
