My extender works hard wired, but cannot get it to go wireless
What happens?
What router is it connected to?
What model extender do you have? AC1800 isn't a model its a speed and i think you mean AX1800 at that.
What firmware is on the extender?
What method of setup did you use? WPS, the installation assistant, or the app?
