Did you set it up using the push button WPS option?
If so, factory reset the extender and set it up using the installation assistant.
To factory reset, push and hold the reset button for 7-15 seconds while powered on.

Also, if you set it up using the default setup or wps, it sets up using mesh so won't show with a separate ssid from the router.

The lighs are off when I power it down (naturally) and then all come on when I power back up. When I press the 'reset' button for 15 seconds, nothing happens, no lights go out, no lights flicker or dim or even change colour?
