Are you running it in mesh mode?
If so, it uses the same ssid for both and then can switch a device from 2.4ghz to 5ghz as needed.

Log into it and check if its using the one ssid/mesh function.
you can get the manual by going to netgear.com/support/ type in the model number and it'll bring you to the manual, firmware.

If you want more than the default settings than it does take some adjusting to your personal preferences.
