AC3000 Link status does appear to be working. new purchase

Unit has Max Throughput , 2.4 & 5GHz, client link & WPS all normal solid white display. Tryed to reset and all ok, until I unplug to move extender to working location, on multiple trys. when testing on samart phone IP address and all  funtions working but the Link status LED???
