AC750 EX3110 won't connect to Xfinity
I have tried everything, resetting, moving it closer, but it will not connect. Should I get a different one or is there any other way to work this out?

1. How are you trying to set it up? WPS? The installation assistant? The app?
2. where is it failing in the process?
3. What router model are you connecting it to? xfinity makes a lot of them
4. What are you needing the extender for? The AC750 is a pretty old/slower model. Most of xfinity's newer generation routers are AX devices and pretty fast with solid range. The extender will not get anywhere close to using its capabilities and isn't going to add much for coverage. It might not be the best application depending on what you need it for.
- ste2fgAspirant1) I plugged it in to try to connect in the wifi controls on my phone. It would connect, but without internet.
2) It's not connecting to the router
3) The XB7
4) We're trying to boost the signal to reach our garage where my husband has a woodshop and goes online quite a bit. Its roughly 55ft from the router to his shop.- plemansGuru - Experienced User

1) I plugged it in to try to connect in the wifi controls on my phone. It would connect, but without internet.---So you set it up using WPS? Using the installation assistant? using the app? You didnt really answer the question. Plugging it in doesn't connect it to the router.
2) It's not connecting to the router---thanks for that. Added a lot of information. Details are key. we're not psychic and can't see what you're doing, what's been done, what the leds on the extender are doing, what the extender status page shows, etc. If you want help, then we need details to help you.
3) The XB7---Thanks. that helps a lot. A direct, correct answer.
4) We're trying to boost the signal to reach our garage where my husband has a woodshop and goes online quite a bit. Its roughly 55ft from the router to his shop.--Is this wood shop in a separate building? Exteriors of buildings are great at blocking wifi. They tend to be made with materials such as metal siding, brick, concrete fiberboard, etc that all block signals. If there isn't a signal to the garage, what do you expect the extender to pickup and rebroadcast? Extenders still need a wifi signal to pickup that they can pickup to rebroadcast for devices to connect to. If its a separate building and doesn't have at least a half decent signal, then running a hardwired connection to the shop might be a better plan.Make sure to set it up in the home first. Make sure you can get it connected and working before moving it to the shop.
Also, that extender might not do a whole lot in the garage if its got a poor signal. Its not a very fast extender so its baseline, is going to be low even in the home. Putting it in a different building might not give it enough signal/speeds to make much difference.
