    Factory reset the extender, and re-config from scratch.

    Disadvantage if being lazy and not adopting the new wireless router (default?) to your preferred wireless name, security settings and wireless password, so you don't have to reconfigure all wireless devices from scratch again, don't have to factory reset the extender and reconfig from scratch, and much more.
