AC750 WIFI Range extender model EX2800 connecting

I’ve set it up with WPS and all three blue lights are on but when select the ____2GEXT. IN MY WIFI on my Mac devices it asks for a password and if I put my WIFI password in it says it’s the wrong password. Is there a special password for the Netgear that I don’t have?

    What router are you connecting it to? 

    Try factory resetting the extender and setting it up using the installation assistant and NOT wps. 

    WPS can get coded different and cause issues (ruins the whole point of it)
