AC750 wifi range extender speed issue

Hello, I've successfully setup the extender by WPS but the speed is very poor. With a speed test i'm getting 200+MBS from the router wifi but only 19mbs from the extender using 5G and 16mbs for 2G wi...

Thanks for the quick repy. 

 

I have tried several different outlets including 1 in the same room as the router. All give approximately the same speed.

 

I have the EX3700 AC750 wifi range extender.

 

I am on a Mac and don't see a way to install the firmware update

 

Brick house, 2x6 studs, drywall

The firmware install instructions are the same for a mac if you're logging into it via a browser. 

If you're on the support site for your device, the 3rd video on the "top support videos" walks you through a firmware update.

try updating, factory resetting, and reinstalling the extender and see if this helps.
