Access point connection is very slow
I am working with a WN604 N150 access point. This is in a two story building... in which there is only one network cable from the first floor where the router sits. We bought the WN604 to provid...

I'd say this is quite peculiar - I've never used the WN604, but I would assume it's an access point with an integrated switch and as such I would not expect any significant degradation in throughput on the wired side.
Since you say laptops connected to the WN604 are not affected by the degradation I'm going to assume that the upstream link from the WN604 to the router is good and the problem lies between the WN604 and the PC - you may be able to confirm this by timing a file transfer between the NAS and the PC.
Check in the network configuration on the PC and see if it allows you to change the speed & duplex settings - confirm that you are getting a 100mbps connection and try both full & half duplex and see if it makes a difference.
