Access point connection is very slow
I am working with a WN604 N150 access point. This is in a two story building... in which there is only one network cable from the first floor where the router sits. We bought the WN604 to provid...

The laptop access via a wireless connection was fine. However, if I connected the laptop via a wire to the WN604, I saw the same slowdown as with the desktop.
Meanwhile, in other parts of the house (wireless connections) were also very good.
I connected to this account recently and based on my other post I noticed that the 2.4Ghz of the WN604 had a different SSID than the 2.4GHz side of the wireless router on the first floor. I changed the SSID of the WN604 to match that of the wireless router. I also change the channel of the router to 11, and the access point to channel 1. So these changes got me where I wanted to be on the wireless side.
I was then going to start working on the wired side issue, and as a starting point went to speedtest.net. It now reported 24mbps... on the wired side which was where we wanted to be.
I am not sure how/if the changes on the wireless side affected anything (I would think that they should not) or if something happened in my absence.
In any case, we are getting the speeds we wanted... just not sure how we got there. In any case, thanks for the recommendations.
Issue solved... just do not know why. Just posting what we saw in case someone else has a similar issue.
