Yes you can still use the hardwired in connections.
AP mode just disables the router functions that manage data inspection/routing. It leaves the primary router managing all that.
I use AP mode all the time as I test different systems.
Some pretty solid deals out there this weekend for picking up routers 🙂

Thanks for the quick response and helpful answer.
I see in my router setup that I can turn my RAX50 into AP mode. Maybe I'll get a newer router for the home and move the RAX50 to the office.
The one thing I'm still a bit confused about in reading about the differences between Range Extenders and Access Points is this.
If I move the RAX50 to the office and set it up as an Access Point with a new router in the home, will I still be able to use the RAX50 as a hardline device too for my desktop, printer and IP camera?
