Add access point or range extender?

I have a WiFi dead zone in my garage and need WiFi signal for a new security camera and garage door opener.

Thinking about adding a Netgear EX6100 Range Extender. I already have a main house WiFi (802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz). And I have an ethernet cable to my router nearby the garage. I'm worried that if I install a Netgear EX6100 in Access Point Mode connected to the ethernet cable the two WiFi signals (6100 and main house WiFi) may overlap and cause interference.

Any advice about the hardware to get and mode set-up?

    Hello Ghero

You can change the channel of the router or extender so the overlap will not affect much.
