Adobe House

Hi,

I have an adobe house 3,00 sq ft in size and already had a Nighthawk AC1900 router. I ordered 3 Wifi Mesh extenders: (1) Nighthawk X65 (EX8000) and (2) X45 (EX7000) models. I set them up, paired them to the router and placed them throughout the house and I am experiencing dropped wifi signal. Adobe is a thick dense building material and I wonder if this is affecting the signal and or is 1 router and 3 wifi extenders too much for the house which is causing interference??? Anyone have any suggestions, I greatly appreciated it.

Are you still within your return period?

if so, I'd return them and buy an actual mesh system like Orbi.

the mesh extenders work well when you only need 1. when you have more than 1, it tends to cause issues. Reason why is they can end up connecting to each other's ssid's instead of to the router. Its a headache when you have more than 1.

An actual full mesh system like orbi has a router controlling it.

And adobe is a challenge as well. Any chance you have ethernet throughout the home to use for the backhaul?
