Another security key plea
Please be patient with an old guy who doesn't know much. Bottom line is I can't connect to the extender network. I keep getting the 'security key" thing. None of the numbers on the back of the uni...
Have you tried hardwiring into the extender for setup? If you hardwire in a laptop/desktop to it, make sure to disable the wireless on the device you connect with so the device doesn't default back to the wireless

With the extender plugged into he outlet, the cable goes from the router to the modum? Then what?
connect your pc/laptop directly to the extender via ethernet cable.
Disable wireless on the device you're connecting to the extender so you can ensure the pc/laptop isn't defaulting back to wireless during setup.
OK.... extender is connected to the PC by an ethernet cable. Wireless is turned off to the PC
