Yes - rebooting the device grants temporary service, but typically for less than a day at a time. Some other observations:
- The 2.4GHz band was more reliable than the 5GHz
- Periodically the LEDs on the top of the device would flash as if the WPS button had been pressed but without any such action.
Are there any representatives from Netgear that read this forum? I'm interested in their stance on rendering customers devices who have upgraded to this firmware and don't read these forums unusable. Without any acknowledgement at all, let alone providing an ETA for a fix, it might seem like a disingenous atempt to get less technocally inclined owners to upgrade to a newwer divice, thinking that their out-of-service device is now faulty. I'd like to hear that this ins't the case and that the support team are aware of the issue and are preparing a fix.

I got a message to StephenB who believes Netgear is aware of it. They do monitor the community. However, we have no way of knowing when they are going to fix the firmware release. I will wait till the next notification.
