Any good ceiling mount AP's that propagate both directions?
Trying to figure out if I can get away with a single, optimally placed AP (ceiling outside of office (dead center of house), vs two AP (not mesh) at opposite ends of the house. 2400 sqft w/basement, longish width. Current AP (archer c9) won't reach master bathroom (disaster!), but does the rest of the house decent-ish.
I looked at the ubiquiti AC Lite and the TP Link 225 but my impression was that they were very directional.

Basically it comes down to antenna design. Most ap's (not all) use omni-directional antennas instead of directional.
What I usually see when its a single area having issues is something within the walls blocking wifi signals such as hvac. If this blockage is closer to the router, the dead zone is larger. sometimes moving a router a bit one way or another can help with dead zones.
If you've got a 100ft ethernet cable, you could test best location fairly easily just by hooking up an ap and moving it around in the central location to see how it'd do. that'd be the best thing to do. We could recommend devices but if its a structual issue causing the dead spot, it doesn't matter what router you get until you have multiple AP's to provide overlap.
