AX1600 extender will not connect after many resets

I bought a new Netgear RS100 router, after setting up my ax1600 extender it won't connect. I set it up so the wifi id is the same. When i walk to the area I am having the range issue with, I can see that it changes to the extenders wifi but when it tries to connect,  it can't find the ip address. I have done many resets.

    Can you connect to the RS100 wifi from your clients when at the extender location (with the extender turned off)?
