Backhaul still disconnect
Netgear you still have issues with the Mesh EX8000 backhaul which will disconnect from a R7000 at random, at that point no internet access is provided from the Mesh but the r7000 wireless works fine ...

Same thing for me... I have tried everything.. every so often (and I do mean often) the 5g backhaul goes out and loses connection for 14 min. I really think it’s a software bug. I just can’t believe they haven’t gotten it right yet or fixed it. They keep pushing buggy firmwares.
I have tried reverting back to 64 and 80 and even a test beta version but still the same results.
Here is the issue I have. The 5G Broadcast a different channel for the 5G network. The 2.4 G network broadcast the same channel? Also why is there even a 2.4 G backhaul also? I have figured out that changing your router to not change the channel automatically definitely helps. But it seems like with a lot of congestion or whatever the case is the 5G backhaul just goes out randomly and it sucks.. the 2.4 G backhaul blows and it disconnects my Xbox temporary just long enough to kick me out of the game.
I have been sent a new extender. Same results. It worked good for a couple weeks and then who knows what happened but same issue. And I do a hard factory reset every time I update or reflash the firmware. I attempt to only have my hardwire Xbox hooked up via LAN and disconnect and turn off the extenders WiFi but same results. I have given the extender QOS bandwidth and everything.
I wish I could return the stupid thing but I can’t. I think my next step is going to run a cat 7 up in the attic over to the extender and use it as an access point.
Hopefully my issues would then be resolved..
