a hardwired connection is always going to be faster/more reliable than wireless. so I'd run the 1 extender wired then run the other extender directly off the router. You can always wire it in or try it wireless and see how well it functions.
I would never recommend running extenders daisy chained. Reason why?
To keep in simple, every extender in the chain cuts throughput 50% and increases latency. Tri-band extenders mitigate that but they'll still have latency increase and a smaller speed decrease.
